This one's for Monica.
Thirteen grievances I have on Festivus:
Thirteen grievances I have on Festivus:
- People who put hair gel in their boys' hair to create a faux-hawk
- People who clip their nails during my kid's piano recital
- The KingofHearts gets today off and I don't
- The Caterpillar has only slept past 5:00 am once in the last two months
- I have the week off between Christmas and New Year's Day, but so do The Children, rendering the vacation part of my vacation null and void
- Monica doesn't seem to know what day Festivus is actually celebrated
- Colleagues waited to hand in articles for weeks-past work deadline until yesterday, knowing full well I'd have another two days' work AFTER receiving them... oh, did I mention the office closes today at noon?
- Cannot find aluminum pole to display in living room due to evil stripper pole industry machines commercializing the holiday
- Hole in husband's head still tender, making winning feats of strength lacking in sense of accomplishment and prowess over him it deserves
- Those who use "flustrated," "supposably," and "well-healed" and insist they are correct that way
- The Harvard comma
- People who gave my kid I Can Be a
StripperDoctor Barbie doll (just look at that mini-skirt and those pink legs and tell me I'm wrong) for preschool Christmas party - and that she likes it better than any toy in the house - Pissed that my grievances are so mild this year - I have too much to be thankful for

I HATE THE HARVARD COMMA TOO!

I also hate when my husband comes with me to your house and takes the good couch so I have to sleep on the tiny couch. Can't a girl get a good nap?

For the record I do know what date to celebrate Festivus, I just didn't know what day it actually was. I almost celebrated Christmas on the wrong day too.

Ha! It's annoying to not be annoyed.
Happy Festivus!

Is the Harvard comma the same as the Oxford comma or is it some type of colonial derivative? If it is the same, then I hate it too. Happy Festivus to all!

I'm so gratified to know others share my dislike of the Harvard comma (@Foggy: yes, also known as the Oxford comma). It warms my cold, icicle heart so I'll share with you the fact that Vampire Weekend feels the same: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_i1xk07o4g
It's a Festivus Miracle!
