The Dormouse and I saw this spider adding ambiance to the Renaissance Festival and spent a good ten minutes watching it wrap up a junebug. In Paraguay, they make something called Ñandutí, which, translated, means spider's lace or spider web. One day when I was walking in the woods I came across this huge spider's web... at least twice my height in all directions. It was the first time I really got why they called it that. This spider reminded me of that day.

Of course she's missing! The spider frightened her away, remember?
