Is it weird that I want to reach out and pet him on the head?

I have a pet turtle at home and we always refer to his little chomper as a beak.
The idea of a tortoise fighting with another tortoise is ghastly...and awesome. Do they fight in slow motion? Their little beaks are pretty sharp but they don't have teeth or anything. Do they just try to beak each other into submission? So many questions...

@MB: I think if you tried to put your hand on his head you might pull back a bloody stump... he was scary.
@Andrea: I just wish we'd been there for the fight - we seemed to have arrived just after - I would have posted video. But come to think of it... video of turtles fighting? Might be too long a clip for YouTube.

I don't know about fighting but I know what else they do in slow motion, complitments of the 3rd grade class animal science project at RMR elementary school.
