The newest soup flavor from the good folks at Campbell's:
Princess Soup has become extremely popular in my house during the past week. If I admit that it took me a good five minutes looking at the label to even figure out what flavor this soup is, does that say more about me or Campbell's?

I just assumed it was Princess flavor. Personally, I prefer the Chunky style better (with real chunks of princess).

What does "princess" taste like?

You know, I really don't mind the Pricess gummie snacks, etc., becuase these are intended as a treat anyway (at least at my house), so I usually let them pick the type they want.
I HATE labeling basic products with characters. I fell for it a couple of times with my girls, but I quickly learned that if it is not something they would eat anyway, then the label on the can just causes angst when they realize it is just borning old "whatever it is" inside.

Took me a while to see it too, although I'm not sure why they didn't just call it "chicken noodle soup" instead of that long convoluted name, much like this sentence.

@Sparklebot: Not surprisingly, "princess" tastes like chicken.

@Scott: I hate the chunky style. I always gets shards of glass slipper stuck in my teeth.
@Trixie: Agree! As a matter of principle, I am against supporting branded products of any kind. I would have been the one to tell the kids no when they wanted this. Fortunately for them, my husband was doing the shopping that day and he's a pushover.
@Amy: I wondered the exact same thing (about the soup, not your sentence - that seemed perfectly appropriate to me).

LOL! Love it. Just what flavor are princesses these days?

@Debra: I did not try this, but I imagine they come in a couple of flavors: co-dependence and vanity... also pink.
